My favorite part of being a pastor at Hope Summit is hearing stories of how God has used our church to give people hope. Hope that a marriage can survive. Hope that there is a way out of addiction. Hope that there are people who actually do care. But most importantly, the perfect Hope that there is a real God out there who genuinely loves imperfect people like us. As a result of this Hope Overflowing from our church, we have seen real growth over the last few years. This growth has made us realize we need to update our building if we are going to continue helping people find their hope in Jesus.
On October 18th we will kick off a “Hope Overflowing” generosity initiative that begins a two year journey of sacrificial giving designed to expand our building. With prayer and extensive planning, the elders have determined the need for an expanded foyer space, an inviting front entrance, and a dedicated children's ministry space. We are excited to share more with you about how this will come to life as we officially kick off this campaign. THE PURPOSE OF HOPE OVERFLOWING
Hope Summit has grown 18% over the last three years.
Research shows that unstructured and unscheduled interactions are vital to supporting community, social connection, and belonging. We want to provide a space before and after services that we believe the Holy Spirit will use to continue to build up his church.
Currently we have around 750 square feet outside of the worship center for these unstructured and unscheduled gatherings. That means we can only fit around 30-40 people to sit and stand in our current foyer. To make space for people to gather before and after a service, we need 4-5 times that amount.
We need to provide a secure area for our children. Combining two separate areas into one will help simplify the arrival and drop-off experience for parents.
We want to create a clearly identifiable entry point into the building that will enhance the arrival experience from the parking lot to worship center.
HOW CAN I GIVE?
Before any financial gift is given, we ask that you would give your time in prayer for this campaign. Perhaps set a reminder in your phone to help you get into the habit of asking God to provide.
Courageously
On November 22, Commitment Sunday, everyone will be asked to make the largest one-time financial contribution to Hope Summit they have ever made to support this generosity initiative.
Consistently
On Commitment Sunday, everyone will be asked to pledge a monthly gift, above and beyond regular giving, for the next 25 months.
Creatively
Everyone is encouraged to creatively give toward the campaign. This can include a boat, motorcycle, jewelry, land, stocks, garage sale proceeds, etc…
